Jesus raised from the grave

A very important event in the history of mankind- The resurrection of Jesus. Both scripture and history record facts about the death of the man Christ Jesus. But this fact holds equal importance to the Christian faith. Christ died on behalf of our sins according to the scriptures, and He was entombed, and He has been raised on the third day according to the scriptures, and He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time. And assuming that Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile. You are still in your sins. For if there is no resurrection we are most miserable and most to be pitied. But Christ has been raised out from among the dead, a firstfruit of those who have fallen asleep. For even as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive. Since He was raised and we believe it we are no longer in our sins! Christ has given us the truth about the resurrection by being raised himself – there is a resurrection day, we are to attain resurrection through the obedience of faith.
